New Road is the link from the area near the train station to the main shopping district in Oxford, Queen Street leading to the High Street. It is really easy to find!
- From the train station, head into town (left from the parking area), past the Said business school to the traffic lights next to the Royal Oxford Hotel. Cross the street and turn right in the front of the hotel (passing the Café Coco). At the next corner turn left (the Jam Factory is cattycorner to you) and head up to town, past Staples, Richer Sounds, across the canal, past the Duke's Cut pub and parking lot. Keep going, past Worcester Street. On the right, just before a big mound that is locally known as the castle (very old they say), is a drive leading to a parking lot and a rather dismal 1960s concrete building. That’s us!
- From city centre, come past the Randolph, martyrs’ memorial and St Giles onto Cornmarket Street. Turn right into Queen Street, dodge the shoppers and buses, and continue down onto New Road. Just after the afore mentioned mound is the entrance to our parking lot and in the back the Centre.
There is very limited parking at our building, and only by advance reservation, 24 hours. There is also a public lot at the corner of New Road and Worcester St, but it fills up during the day. Best to bus, cycle or transmogrify.
The Global Climate Adaptation Partnership has registered subsidiary offices in Kenya and the USA, and registrations for offices in South Africa and Ethiopia are forthcoming.
